A Cinematic Point of View

A Cinematic Point of View is a group exhibition that explores how contemporary visual artists adapt and reinterpret the language of cinematography within still image-based work. Presented in collaboration with the Media Arts Council and the Lansdowne Arts Committee, the exhibition highlights how elements such as lighting, framing, perspective, and composition can be used to construct narrative, evoke mood, and guide the viewer through a visual story outside of traditional film.

Bringing together photography, mixed media, and experimental practices, the exhibition asks how much storytelling can exist within a single frame. Hosted at 20*20 House from May 23 to June 28, it invites audiences to consider how cinematic thinking influences visual art and how artists expand, challenge, or reject that vocabulary in their own creative practice.
