An Afternoon of Regency Dance

Enjoy an afternoon of Regency era dance with the Colonial Assembly of the Germantown Country Dancers.

Imagine yourself in a ballroom from a Jane Austen novel in 1810. Features reconstructions of balletic style steps that each lady and gentleman was expected to learn.

See the intricate patterns and steps of stately minuets, a lively reel, formal country dances, and hear our musicians play the same tunes Regency era dancers would have heard.

Then try out some simple dances yourself during our audience participation segment (without any fancy footwork).
