Author and Filmmaker George Rothacker to Share AI Insights at Delco Press Club Season-Opening Event

Delaware County artist, writer, and filmmaker George Rothacker will introduce his latest book, “A Victorious Life,” and discuss his use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the creative process at the Delaware County Press Club’s inaugural 2025-26 event. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 17, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Community Arts Center.

In his presentation, Rothacker will discuss how AI has assisted him in writing his four most recent novels, as well as its use in marketing, research, and understanding complex technological advances. He aims to demystify AI, stressing its potential as a powerful tool for professionals in communications rather than a replacement for human creativity.

“I began using Google’s AI back in 2023 and found it a remarkable asset to my writing,” said Rothacker. “While it’s matured significantly, my experience has shown that AI is best used to expand one’s knowledge and understanding of a subject, not to replace the critical thinking and creativity of the person using it. For those who embrace it, it’s a way to make their worldview larger and their thought processes keener.”

Rothacker’s discussion will provide hope and practical insights for writers, editors, filmmakers, and other press members, highlighting a future where AI can be used to produce honest, factual, and informative content.

The event will also feature Rothacker’s paintings of 20th-century authors and copies of his latest book, with all profits benefiting the Delaware County Press Club and the Community Arts Center.
