Oakmont Fire Company Celebrates America’s 250

To commemorate America’s 250th birthday Oakmont Fire Company invites the community to gather, enjoy fun filled festivities, and celebrate our nation’s milestone. Family friendly activites will include a parade, (starts at the firehouse – 23 W. Benedict Ave) and marches to Grasslyn Field where there will be Races for kids and adults, along with awards for the best-decorated bikes, strollers, and scooters. There will also be free snacks -hot dogs, freeze pops, water, and pretzels, and of course the day wouldn’t be complete without the annual “Hose Downs” –  The iconic fire truck “hose down” to help the community cool off in the summer heat!
