It’s (almost!) summertime and things are sizzling on the Main Line: a Wayne business owner confronts the Kelce’s (and later apologizes), a sweet satellite café for The Malvern Buttery, ramen kits at the Lancaster Farmer’s Market and more! Stay cool, neighbor…
• Not So Sweet: Owner of Wayne’s Teuscher Chocolates Confronts the Kelce’s in Viral Video
Remember the video of the woman berating Jason and Kylie Kelce in Margate when the couple refused her request for a selfie? Turns out the woman is none other than Andrée Goldberg, who just opened an outpost of the lux Swiss chocolatier Teuscher Chocolates in Wayne alongside her husband Bryan.
Days after the video leaked and Margate’s mayor Michael Collins apologized to the couple (Goldberg can be heard telling the Kelce’s they’ll never be allowed in this town again), Goldberg issued an apology of her own: “In a heated moment, I said things that were out of character for me and that I regret and for that, I am sorry. Although I apologized directly to the Kelce family on Saturday, I want to publicly apologize to them, and our community. My anger, and my actions, are not who I am, and certainly not indicative of the welcoming community of Margate. As an adult and proud member of my community, I should have recognized and respected their right to privacy from the onset.”
Mayor Collins even offered to buy the couple dinner to make up for their date night disaster.
An armed security guard was stationed outside of Teuscher Chocolates last weekend. It’s unclear if Goldberg felt unsafe or needed the guard to ward off media attention. Maybe both?
