Hi Neighbor!
Summer’s calling with a farmers market trail, a fab Father’s Day gift, a new twist on parking tickets and more! Stay cool…XOXO
• A Pooch Palace in Devon
A 15,000-square-foot, five-star doggie resort is coming to Devon Square, in the old Rite Aid on Lancaster Avenue. Basically a Four Seasons for dogs, K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel offers posh, cage-free boarding and day care for dogs of all breeds and temperaments. With room to accommodate 100 dogs, the Devon K9 hopes to open by Labor Day—and satisfy a need for high-end boarding options on the Main Line (many vet-run kennels closed during COVID and never reopened, leaving dog owners scrambling).
Here’s what you—and your pet—can expect from a K9 stay:
• A hospital-grade filtration system (buh-bye kennel smell!)
• Sound-resistant rooms with luxury bedding
• All-natural, veterinarian-developed Blue Buffalo food
• Upgraded suites with HDTVs tuned to Animal Planet or Dog TV
• Playing fields featuring antimicrobial outdoor turf (private play areas available upon request)
• Innovative, “zoned” layout to reduce pet stress
• Trained and certified staff
K9 Resorts currently operates over 170 locations nationwide, including a smaller outpost in Malvern.
• A Father’s Day Find!
Just in time for Father’s Day, memorialize dad’s (or grandpa’s!) life story with help from Keepsake Tapes, a new business founded by Conestoga alum Justin Berger ’11. To make things as seamless and comfortable as possible, Berger comes to YOU, armed with thoughtful questions, high-end equipment and a knack for recording and editing professional-level interviews. (He’s got the chops to prove it; Berger’s work has been featured on PBS, NPR, three Grammy Award-winning albums—and even the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!)
Each recording session takes about an hour—depending on the stories shared and the participant’s comfort level—with about three sessions needed to produce a complete narrative. Berger uses his editing equipment to remove awkward pauses and fix technical issues, while honoring the spirit and flow of the original interview. He can also add intro and outro music and create themed segments or “chapters.”
All customers receive digital copies for sharing and physical copies for safekeeping. Book a consult here.

• Hold onto your forks, Main Line—Burtons Grill & Bar is coming to town!
🎉 The Massachusetts-based hotspot is opening its very first Pennsylvania location in Wayne on June 18th. Say goodbye to Chili’s, because Burtons is taking over the old spot at 312 W. Lancaster Ave. 🍔🍷
This place isn’t just your average chain. With a spacious 5,167-square-foot layout, Burtons will fit 152 people inside, including a swanky 24-seat bar (hello, happy hour!). Plus, they’re bringing an extra 24 seats outdoors, so you can enjoy your meal al fresco.
Get ready to kick back, sip, and savor—Burtons is about to make your dining game a whole lot more delicious! 😎
• Bluebird Distilling is about to give its Phoenixville home a serious glow-up with a $2 million renovation!
💸✨ The Chester County fave is upgrading its cocktail bar at 100 Bridge St. with a brand new bar, a full-on Neo-Neapolitan pizzeria (yes, you heard that right—pizza), and a bigger retail area. Oh, and they’re rebranding the whole place as Bluebird Social: Cocktails & Kitchens by Bluebird Distilling.
Don’t worry, though—the distillery isn’t going anywhere. They’re keeping the same cozy footprint with a 5,500-square-foot distillery, a 3,500-square-foot cocktail bar, and that super cute 1,500-square-foot garden. So, plenty of room for your crew to sip and munch, with seating for 120 inside and 40 more outside in the garden. 🌿🍹
The revamped spot will be ready to rock come winter, and they’re keeping the bar and retail shop open during the makeover. Get ready for a whole new level of Bluebird fun! 🍕🍸
• Guess what? Five Star Restaurant Group, the geniuses behind the iconic Chadds Ford Tavern, are about to go big time with franchising!
🎉 Owners Philip and Kate Ferro just teamed up with the pros at Miami-based Franchise Creator to bring their winning tavern vibes to a city near you. They’ve already killed it with spots like Augustine Tavern in Delaware, Main Line Tavern in Paoli, and Kings Tavern in Coatesville — so, yeah, they’re kinda experts at this. Get ready for the tavern takeover! 🍻
